Ennis, Montana Real Estate in the Madison Valley
Montana Territorial Land Co

The Madison Valley is a great place to find real estate for sale in Montana.  Real Estate offerings range from reasonably priced bare land properties to luxury riverfront homes or mountain homes.

If you are looking for recreational property for sale, a few different areas may be a good starting point. The Sportsman’s Paradise, Wagon Tract, Buffalo Lance, and Madison River Ranches are great properties for hunters, fisherman, hikers, and horseman. These properties are close to Island Park, Idaho and Henry’s Fork, Idaho as well as Yellowstone National Park, Hebgan Lake and Quake Lake, and West Yellowstone, Montana. Many types of property are available from bare land (10-20 acre parcels up to large acreage) to small log cabins, large log homes and seasonal residences and fishing vacation rentals. Some of the real estate properties do border the Madison River or have access to the Madison River fishing.

About 15 minutes south of Ennis, Montana in Cameron, Montana (59720) you will find the best value per acre for 20 acre parcels with power and phone to the lot and with year round access. This area is called Lonesome Dove. It had absolutely some of the best views in the Madison Valley. It allows modular homes but not manufactured and you can bring your horses! Mustang Ranches is another great area to look for 20 acre parcels. It adjoins the Lee Metacalf Wilderness in the Madison Range. Horses area allowed and it has great views of the Gravelly Range. Access is easy year round and the Big Sky Airport is not far  away either.

Other great areas to look for larger parcels of land for sale are in, Double M Ranch,, Washington Bar Ranch, Elk Hills, and Shining Mountains West. Each of these areas are within 20 minutes of Ennis, Montana and your address might be McAllister, Montana, or Cameron, Montana. If you are looking for a higher end property, you might start here.

If fishing on the Madison River is of high importance, river lots in the town of Ennis, Montana may be a good place to start. These are usually small town lots and there are not many vacant lots left. Occasionally homes on the Madison River will be for sale and they usually don’t last long. There are a few subdivisions that have lots or homes on the river. Madison Meadows are 1 acre parcels near Raynold’s Pass and Quake Lake. Sportsman’s Paradise has lots that border public land that borders the Madison River. Rising Sun River has 10 to 20 acre parcels either with a home or undeveloped on the river. Rainbow Point has Ennis lakefront lots for sale.
